Greetings from the Editor!
We are very excited to announce that we are in print and have copies of our first issue, “ Service as Art,” available for purchase! All profits from the magazine will be reinvested in promoting From Hide to Heart, as well as in supporting the community. In the next year, we aspire to table at events, provide sponsorships for organizations and events that align with our mission and values, perform more outreach, and invite more people to submit their stories for publication, regardless of the form, whether it be poetry, articles, letters, photography, artwork, or much more. We believe that every time a story is told in our community, another fire in someone else is lit, and that this is one of the many ways we can continue to preserve, learn, and grow our leather community in all of its corners. Please consider supporting our work by donating, purchasing our issues, or even just spreading the word on social media and word of mouth. Thank you for subscribing and for believing in us.

Submission Date Extended!
We have decided to extend our due date for submissions to 12/8/2025 to allow more folks to submit their work. Our next issue focus is on Legacy and Leather Families. Here are some other topics we would like to include as well: Submission topics highlighted for the next issue:

Photos needed for our Leather Ofrenda- Community Altar honoring our loved ones.
Submit photos of your loved ones who have passed to share with the wider community and memorialize the people who are most important to us. Share their story, say their names, and allow us to honor them. Please email photos, their names, and a small paragraph of what you’d like to share about them, what they meant to you, and/or what you wish you could say to them if they were still here. Entries can be for anyone in our community that has passed. There is no time frame for when they passed to be honored in our issue. Click below to send us an email.
